Land Rover Defenders are in our blood
I grew up in South Africa, surrounded by Land Rover Defenders roaming my grandparent’s farm and the National Parks where my grandfather worked as a Game Warden. I recall sitting on my grandfather’s lap at age 6, steering his 1983 LRD 110 while he managed the stick shift and clutch. At age 10, I finally got to drive one on my own. It’s fair to say, these vehicles are in my blood.
Our Story
Living in California for the past 25 years, I’ve dreamed of owning and restoring a LRD like those from my childhood. What began as a spontaneous self-indulgence, soon developed into a passion that begged to be shared with others. I have since assembled a team of trusted experts in both Cape Town and California to undertake the restoration and importation of numerous vintage LRD vehicles. At Zahara Motors, we work directly with our clients to create a customized and unique dream car.
To ensure that all of our restorations are of the highest quality, we personally manage every aspect of each job, including frames, body work, engine rebuilds/replacements, interiors, and upholstery.
