Services
Zahara Motors is available to help with all of your Land Rover Defender needs. We are involved at every point of a vehicle's journey, from sourcing the base vehicle, designing the envisaged finished product, and executing on that vision.
We are a family business, with members split between Cape Town, South Africa and Sonoma, CA. As a result we have people on the ground in both locations to manage the entire process.
Vehicle Sourcing
Land Rover Defenders are plentiful in South Africa, given their long history as farm, recreational, military and over-landing. We source base vehicles directly.
Project Design
The great thing about Defenders is the wide range of options for what the finished project can look like. From all original (matching numbers), to bling'ed out vehicles with all the modern features - we do it all.
Rebuilds
Each of our vehicles are fully disassembled and then rebuilt with the utmost care. We do frame-off rebuilds so you can have the confidence we have examined/replaced/rebuilt every part.
Restoration
Our restoration team allows you to choose what parts of the vehicle you want to restore to their original glory, and which are better replaced. We can help at every step of the way.
Upholstery
Custom upholstery and interior design are our specialty. Revive your vehicle with leather or other fabrics, and have a dashboard that looks like new, either original or with modern technology.
Shipping
The vehicles in our current inventory have already (or are in process) of being shipped to the US. For custom builds, our teams has year and hundreds of vehicles of shipping and import experience.
Rebuilds
All of our vehicles undergo a full nut and bolt rebuild. No half measures or shortcuts, we want each to look like it just came out of the factory. There are lots of re-sellers that claim this, but take every available shortcut. You can see pictures of each step along the way with our cars in inventory, and for custom builds we will share updates as they happen in our South African facilities.
